Hoda Kotb details steamy public make-out session at furniture store: It was ‘a turn-on’

Hoda Kotb revealed that she once had a “full-on” makeout session with a mystery man in a furniture store.

During Friday’s episode of “Today with Hoda and Jenna,” Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager discussed Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck being caught “canoodling” in a furniture store when the former came clean about her public display of affection.

“I think I should confess that one time, when I was in New York here, living here, working here, and I was dating someone here, that we were in a furniture store and we had a full-on makeout,” Kotb told her co-host.

Bush Hager immediately gaped at her in shock and asked Kotb to clarify if the “full-on” hookup meant they went “all the way.”

“No, no, no, but you know, like a real makeout for a while,” Kotb dished.

Kotb, 49, didn’t specify when the steamy PDA happened, but she recalled thinking that if someone saw them, she could get fired.

“It was so edgy because I’m like, ‘I could lose my whole job, and it’s happening right now,’ but I was kinda excited, you know that feeling?” Kotb asked.

Bush Hager, 42, teased that Kotb was living “on the edge,” but she couldn’t relate to her co-host, since she’s been married to her husband, Henry Hager, for 15 years.

“We used to [be like that], but it’s like at some point, you can save that, ya know,” Bush Hager said. “You don’t need to do it in the store, because you have your own bedroom.”

Kotb hit back at Bush Hager and told her to “stop acting like” she’s never done anything crazy and explained that the public makeout was “not about needing.”

“It was totally sexy and a turn-on,” Kotb doubled down.

Despite the steamy details, Kotb kept tight-lipped on who her makeout partner was. However, she has always kept her dating life private since rising to fame on TV.

The “Today” show host has been single for nearly a year since she and Joel Schiffman called off their engagement in December 2022 after eight years together.

Prior to that, she was married to former University of New Orleans tennis coach Burzis Kanga from 2005 to 2008.
