Adam Driver fires back at fan who called ‘Ferrari’ scenes ‘cheesy’: ‘F–k you’

Adam Driver stunned audience members at a film festival when he lashed out a fan who called his upcoming movie “cheesy.”

“F–k you,” the actor bluntly told the festival-goer who criticized “Ferrari” during a Q&A session at Poland’s Camerimage Film Festival Sunday.

A video posted to Twitter showed Driver sitting in a cinema while answering audience questions after a screening.

“What do you think about [the] crash scenes? They looked pretty harsh, drastic and, I must say, cheesy for me. What do you think?” an unidentified person asked the “Girls” alum.

Driver simply replied, “F–k you, I don’t know? Next question.”

Several social media users threw their support behind Driver.

“We need more responses like that to half-assed audience questions,” one person commented under the clip.

“Seems like a [sic] off the wall question. His job is acting, not CGI,” another pointed out.

A third fan chimed in, “Good for Driver! I hate when people say comments or compliments during the Q&A instead of asking questions.”

Others pointed out that the audience member had a European accent, and “cheesy could mean something completely different in Poland,” one person wrote.

The “Marriage Story” star was in attendance at the festival to accept the Special EnergaCamerimage Award for an actor, and to introduce “Ferrari,” in which he portrays Italian sports car entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari.

He previously spoke out about filming the “terrifying” driving scenes.

Set in 1957, the film follows Ferrari as he races across Italy in the Mille Miglia race while grappling with the loss of his son and his business’ looming bankruptcy.

Penelope Cruz will portray Ferrari’s wife, Laura Ferrari, while “Divergent” actress Shailene Woodley stars as his mistress, Lina Lardi.

Meanwhile, 2023’s “Sexiest Man Alive” Patrick Dempsey, who is a real life race car driver, plays Ferrari’s famous rival, Piero Taruffi.

Back in October, Driver recalled the “terrifying” experience of getting behind the wheel of a modified “open-wheel single seater” for the film.

“It teleports you back to the time and you realize if you turn left or right the wrong way, then you’re dead,” Driver told Variety at the film’s premiere at the New York Film Festival.

“There’s at least seatbelts in the newer cars,” he added.
