Why Jessica Simpson’s daughter Maxwell won’t wear her hand-me-down shoes

If the shoe (doesn’t) fit …

Jessica Simpson dazzled in a crystal-covered gown as she was honored with the Footwear News Icon Award on Wednesday, and on the red carpet, she revealed a fun fact about her 11-year-old daughter, Maxwell, when it comes to shoes.

“My oldest daughter is 11 and she’s a size 10,” the fashion entrepreneur, 43, told Extra, adding, “she surpassed me a long time ago.”

The mom of three shared that she wouldn’t be able to pass down the numerous “shoes saved for her” from her own collection, but that her creative daughter would likely find a way to use them anyway.

Simpson said Maxwell would “probably use them as a purse, knowing her,” adding, “She’ll make them into some amazing piece or she’ll do some artwork with them.”

On the bright side, Simpson does have another mini-me to share the shoe love.

“I do have Birdie and she might have more of a petite situation going on,” she shared, referring to her 4-year-old with husband Eric Johnson, 44.

“If not, I’m shoving her foot in them by the time she’s like six, just in case, ‘cause I did not with Maxwell” Simpson joked.

The busy mom must own quite the shoe collection, with the pop star having a penchant for towering platform heels, including many from her .

Her kids aside, the former reality star shared more about her fashion business with Extra, sharing that style comes naturally to her.

“I do love it that I can dress everybody, like a friend… in my hotel room, I’m dressing my friends, in my house, I’m dressing my friends and so I feel like with the world, I’m dressing my friends so it’s simple for me,” she said.

“I want to make people feel good, look good, and be comfortable owning themselves,” the footwear icon added.
