Why Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn don’t have ‘any interest’ in reading John Stamos’ book

Jerry O’Connell and his wife, Rebecca Romijn, are staying far away from John Stamos’ memoir.

The “Stand by Me” actor revealed he wasn’t interested in reading Stamos’ tell-all, “If You Would Have Told Me,” after he heard what the “Full House” star said about his divorce from Romijn.

“I have not read it,” O’Connell said during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM radio show Tuesday.

“There was an interest in my household. But it’s so funny, after hearing his interview beginning to end on ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ any interest of reading the book went away.”

O’Connell was seemingly referring to Stamos’admission that he felt “emasculated” while married to Romijn from 1998 to 2005.

The “Fuller House” alum also said he was “shattered” when they ultimately called it quits.

“I think those are the only parts we were interested in our house, and we got to them and they were talked about,” O’Connell explained.

“I don’t really need to hear about the casting process of famous sitcoms. That’s not something that really interests us.”

The “Talk” co-host — who wed Romijn in 2007 — added that it got “awkward” in his household after Stamos referred to the former model as the “devil” during his press tour for the book.

“There’s like a little bit of an eye roll happening with each other,” O’Connell continued.

“But it’s pretty crazy when your kids come out for breakfast and they go, ‘Hey, mom, your ex has a book out and called you the devil. What are your thoughts?’”

In an interview with People last month, Stamos, 60, said his divorce from the former Victoria’s Secret model was “humiliating.”

He admitted he “hated her” for “way too long,” but was later able to recognize his own fault in the split.

“It’s like, ‘Oh, she wasn’t the devil. Maybe I was as much to blame as her,’” he explained.

Stamos said he thought Romijn was the “devil” during their divorce.

Stamos added that he had mixed feelings when his then-wife was becoming successful while his career was stagnant.

“It was very much the opinion that she dumped me because her career was going great and mine wasn’t. I don’t blame her for it. It was just the perception that people took. Maybe they weren’t wrong,” he said.

“She was doing great at that time and I wasn’t.”

The actor has since moved on with his wife, Caitlin McHugh.

Stamos and McHugh, 37, got engaged in October 2017 after a year and a half of dating.

They tied the knot in February 2018 and later welcomed their son, Billy, in April 2018.
