Who is Silvana Mojica? Meet Dave Portnoy’s girlfriend as she hints at breakup

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and Silvana Mojica are seemingly going their separate ways.

The controversial media personality and the model and marketing professional began dating in 2021, and quickly became a staple on each other’s various social media pages.

However, his followers were quick to express their disdain for the entrepreneur when Mojica hinted that he had broken up with her via a tear-filled video message.

Silvana started dating Dave in 2021

The pair’s romance began in March 2021 when Page Six exclusively revealed the two were getting close on the dance floor of Miami hot spot Komodo.

A few days later, Mojica posted a photo of Portnoy on her Instagram Story, seemingly confirming she was the mystery woman Portnoy had his arms wrapped around at the club’s VIP table.

Little is known about who the Colombian beauty previously dated. For his part, Portnoy was married to Renee Satterthwaite from 2009 to 2017.

She’s a model and marketing professional

Although Mojica boasts nearly 250,000 Instagram followers, which she leverages for brand partnerships and sponsored posts, the brunette has continued using her marketing degree.

She graduated from Florida State University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, and has utilized her education to cultivate a successful communications career.

According to her LinkedIn page, she worked as a junior account manager and an account executive before taking on her current role as a social media marketing assistant at Miami-based company Giti Inc. more than three years ago.

Mojica is also a brand ambassador for fast fashion behemoth Fashion Nova.

She has shared a lot about her relationship with Dave

Mojica and Portnoy haven’t been shy about their romance over the past two and a half years, regularly sharing social media snaps together and appearing in the background of each other’s TikToks.

They have also made frequent public appearances, including at the US Open in New York during the summer of 2023.

However, Mojica revealed their relationship initially took some time to heat up.

“True story: when Dave first asked me to hang out I told him yeah but srry I’m busy for the next month and he said silvana.. I’m busy but nobody is that busy.. lmao here we are,” she captioned a 2021 Instagram post.

Flash forward to March 2023, and the model was referring to the media mogul as the “love of my life” in birthday post.

Fans seem to be taking Silvana’s side of the breakup

Fans first learned about the possible split when the model shared an emotional TikTok the night before Thanksgiving 2023.

“Imagine you buy these for someone and then get broken up with,” she captioned a clip of herself crying while sitting on the bathroom floor flipping through romantic cards she seemingly purchased for Portnoy.

“Angels couldn’t be everywhere, so they sent me you,” one of the sweet cards read.

Social media users quickly jumped into the comments section, with one person lamenting the news as the “biggest heartbreak of the century.”

“Wait no you were the only reason I liked him,” another follower wrote, while a third chimed in, “Well you were the only reason I held on to the Dave Portnoy fandom. That’s over now ❤️💕 you’re the best.”

In the comments section of the Barstool boss’ first, unrelated Instagram post amid split rumors, commenters yelled at him for seemingly ending his relationship.

“JUSTICE FOR SILVS,” one commenter wrote.

“DAVE HOW DARE YOU BREAK UP WITH OUR QUEEN,” a second person added, while a third fan commented, “If you broke up w/ Silvs I h8 you.”
