Travis Kelce was ‘shocked’ by ‘Karma’ lyric change despite Taylor Swift giving him ‘clue’

Taylor Swift gave Travis Kelce a “clue” about her “Karma” lyric change — but the Kansas City Chiefs player was still “shocked.”

The athlete’s brother, Jason Kelce, brought up the viral moment on Wednesday’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast.

“How does it feel to officially be ‘the guy on the Chiefs?’” Jason, 36, asked, referencing the line Swift changed during her Saturday show in Argentina, which previously mentioned “the guy on the screen.”

Travis, 34, replied, “I had no clue. Well, I might have had a little bit of a clue, but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me.

“It was like, ‘Oh, she really just said that,’” the tight end recalled.

Travis went on to apologize to the singer’s dad, Scott Swift, for leaving him hanging when the 71-year-old tried to high-five him during the “Karma” switch-up.

“Mr. Swift, I apologize big guy,” the “Catching Kelce” alum said. “I never miss a high-five too. It’s the most electric thing you can do at an event.”

When Jason pointed out that Scott was wearing a Chiefs lanyard around his neck, Travis joked about getting him “over to the good side.”

He and Taylor’s father were all smiles dancing and chatting during the concert over the weekend.

The show was “electric,” Travis gushed on Wednesday, saying it was “a whole bunch of fun” visiting Taylor’s international Eras Tour stop in Buenos Aires.

While the former reality star, however, did not address his and Taylor’s first public kiss post-concert, he did allude to “all the videos of [him] on TikTok and Instagram.”

Prior to the PDA moment, the pair had only been photographed holding hands during multiple New York City date nights.

The “Cruel Summer” singer was also caught on camera last month planting a kiss on Travis’ cheek during a pre-game party.

The Grammy winner has been a staple in the stands at the NFL player’s games since September.

She previously dated singer Matty Healy for one month and actor Joe Alwyn for six years, while Travis was last romantically linked to on-again, off-again girlfriend Kayla Nicole in 2022.
