sacai x Nike Magmascape Sets Official Holiday Release Date

High-fashion fans and Swoosh aficionados have eagerly awaited the arrival of the sacai x Nike Magmascape since it was first teased on Chitose Abe’s Fall/Winter 2023 runway during Paris Fashion Week in January. Now, the hybrid design, which looks to fuse high-end Japanese craftsmanship with the sportswear giant’s staple shapes, has finally locked in its release date for December 7.

The sneaker, which is derived from both the Air Footscape and the Air Magma, is finished in three different colorways: “Black,” “Light British Tan” and “Varsity Royal.” Notably, the “Varsity Royal” colorway makes a reference to the Air Footscape’s ’90s palette, with a mixture of blue, grey, black and white tones.

The code-fusing shoe, composed of premium suede, mesh and leather materials, features a reimagined sole unit that’s reminiscent of Nike’s hiking designs, while its collar pays respect to the Air Magma. The sneaker’s silhouette calls back to the Footscape’s original construction, and it’s all tied to together with sacai’s classic double lacing.
