PUMA Hoops‘ PUMA x Gremlins Collection is luckily less high maintenance than a real Gremlin, which comes with a handful of rules and regulations: no water, no light, and no feeding after midnight. The basketball offshoot of PUMA has enlisted the likes of the Warner Bros. film’s beloved characters – Gizmo and Gremlin leader Stripe – to offer up a mismatched pair of Gremlins x PUMA All-Pro NITRO joints.
Gizmo is posted up on one shoe, while Gremlin dominates the other, an aesthetic homage to the dual between good and evil. The sneakers also boast two heads on the backsides and are complete with a furry tongue – a nod to Mogwai. The bottom of the shoes are also thematically adorned with Gremlin-esque scratch marks. Crafted from PUMA’s NITROFOAM™, the sneakers guarantee supreme support and comfort as well. Take a closer look at the full collection in the gallery above.
Additionally, the capsule consists of a Gremlins hoodie, tees, and sweatpants.
The PUMA x Gremlins Collection starts at $45 USD, with the Gremlins x PUMA All-Pro NITRO running for $140 USD. Expect the sneakers – and the entirety of the collection – to land live for purchase on Puma’s website and retail locations on December 8.
Elsewhere in footwear news, adidas and BAPE are reimagining the Stan Smith.
