Japan-based PORTER has teamed up with Italian fashion house Valentino, for a collaborative capsule first teased during its spring/summer 2024 menswear runway show in July.
With more detail available now, the collaboration is made up of two notable bags, the “PORTER STYLE” and the “LOCÒ BAG,” with a total of nine different iterations different iterations between the two. The collection combines PORTER’s minimalist and utility-based approach with Valentino’s iconography and designer touch.
The “PORTER STYLE” comes to life as a series that features Valentino’s toile iconography all over the silhouette, available in four iterations, a briefcase, tote bag, shoulder bag and shoulder pouch. Prices for the “PORTER STYLE” bags range from ¥172,700 to ¥315,700 JPY or approximately $1,174 to $2,146 USD.
As for the “LOCÒ BAG,” it features a bold silver Valentino monogram, utilizes PORTER’s signature bonded nylon and is available in both small and medium sizes, in a variety of colorways. Prices for the “LOCÒ BAG” range from ¥299,200 to ¥334,400 JPY or $2,033 to $2,272 USD. All of the bags in the collection feature a vivid red satin liner, reminiscent of Valentino’s own liner and a special co-branded tag.
The Valentino x PORTER collaboration capsule is set to release Wednesday, December 6 and will be available to purchase via a pop-up store at the PORTER Omotesando store in Shibuya Tokyo. Additionally, a general online sale is expected to begin on December 15, via Valentino’s official site and Yoshida Bag’s online store.
