Global luxury brands are preparing for Christmas, cooking sweet treats to share with friends and family. Moschino is taking on a powerful role to close the year, partnering with Milanese pastry shop Martesana for a gold-foiled panettone cake.
The sweet Italian fruitcake is commonly enjoyed during the holiday season, unraveled during Christmas and New Year’s, and enjoyed internationally. The speckled cake typically features raisins, citrus, and almonds encapsulated into a buttery loaf with chocolate glaze.
Moschino and Martesana bake a luxurious version of panettone, crafting a first-of-its-kind “Il panettone d’oro.” Martesana founder and pastry chef Vincenzo Santoro has oven-cooked the one-kilogram cake with IGP Piedmont hazelnuts and a shining golden top, delivered inside Moschino-branded boxing ideal for gifting. Santoro’s signature recipe is prepared over 48 hours, featuring mother yeast, Italian candied orange peel, raisins, and Tahitian vanilla.
Moschino and Martesana’s panettone is available for pre-order via the Martesana website and in-store in Milan Duomo, Monza, Florence, and Rome Tritone for €69 EUR (approximately $75 USD).
