The New Balance 998 receives a new sleek “Black” iteration, a much-needed sneaker for the rotation.
In the past two decades, the Made in USA silhouette has been a vital part of New Balance’s portfolio. The newly-surfaced pair sees the signature shoe arrive in a mesh, suede and leather construction. The upper is in a grey mesh while the overlays are highlighted in pitch-black suede. Grey details the “N” lateral logo as well as the heel tab and tumbled leather tongues while white laces grace the shoe and sail highlights the inner lining and ABZORB midsole. The shoe sits atop a rubber outsole to round out the design.
Look out for the New Balance 998 “Black” arriving next year at select retailers and online at New Balance for $185 USD.
