Louis Vuitton Reveals New 3D-Printed Shoe

During Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2024 runway in Hong Kong on Thursday, Pharrell revealed more of what’s to come from his tenure as men’s artistic director for the French fashion house. Between statement-making accessories and logo-clad ready-to-wear, the designer sent a 3D-printed sneaker, crafted by Zellerfeld, down the Avenue of Stars, proving that innovation resides among his top priorities for the brand.

Mathias Patillon, who leads footwear design at Louis Vuitton, shared a close-up image of the shoe to his Instagram, revealing the title of the silhouette to be the LV COBRA in his caption.

The design represents breakthrough for 3D-printing technology, with a mixed-textured finish that subtly blends soft mesh and smooth faces on a single design. The signature LV Monogram flower motif and the brand’s newer iconography appear etched into the silhouette, while several upper air vents allow for breathability while in use. On the runway, the design was revealed in two colorways: one in off-white and another in black.

Louis Vuitton has not set a release date for the LV COBRA. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more details as they become available, and take a look at the shoe in the gallery above.
