LOEWE Takes to the Tundra With New Penguin Bag

Whether it be at LOEWE or his eponymous label JW Anderson, Jonathan Anderson has an affinity for bringing the natural to luxury fashion. People first turned heads at his JW Anderson Pigeon Clutch, which was soon flying off the shelves. Or take his SS23 grass sneakers that brought the front lawn to footwear. Well, now Anderson heads to the tundra for LOEWE’s new Penguin Bag.

Like previous unique offerings, the Penguin Bag immediately has the signature Anderson wow factor as it brings an atypical element to the arena of accessories. Taking the literal shape of the marine bird, the bag is crafted in classic calfskin – featuring shades of black, white and bold orange alongside an interior canvas lining. One can store their items in the penguin’s body, while the beak, flippers and feet serve as functionless highlights.

Additionally, the playful features a hand or shoulder carry, a detachable strap and a zip closure. Another important aspect of the bag is it is a part of the LOEWE x Suna Fujita collaboration – which pays homage to the work of artists Shohei Fujita and Chisato Yamano.

Take a look at the new collaborative piece in the gallery above. Priced at $1,450, the new LOEWE Penguin Bag is available now online.
