Larsa Pippen defends revealing Guerdy Abraira’s cancer diagnosis to ‘RHOM’ cast despite promising not to

Larsa Pippen defended her decision to tell her “Real Housewives of Miami” co-stars about Guerdy Abraira’s cancer diagnosis — despite Abraira asking her not to just a few hours before.

“I called and texted Guerdy after she called me fake in the press. She never responded. We argued back and forth which wasn’t shown then she told me was diagnosed w/ breast [cancer]. I was shocked and I wanted to rally the girls to support her. I’ve been nothing but a good friend to her,” Pippen commented under an Instagram video on Monday.

The clip showed Pippen divulging Abraira’s breast cancer diagnosis to castmates Lisa Hochstein, Marysol Patton, Alexia Nepola and Kiki Barth.

The user who posted the video wrote that it was “effed up” of Pippen to not allow Abraira to tell the women the news herself.

In the preview clip for Wednesday’s upcoming episode, Abraira and Pippen were discussing why the wedding planner previously told Page Six that Pippen was the “fakest Housewife” when she broke down and revealed her diagnosis to the mom of four.

“I haven’t told anybody except for now you, my family of course, and now you’re the fourth person in the group to know,” Abraira emotionally said, while acknowledging she already broke the news to co-stars Julia Lemigova, Nicole Martin and Adriana de Moura.

Abraira, 45, then explicitly asked Pippen, 49, to “take it in confidence right now” and the former NBA wife appeared to have agreed.

“I just wanna make it clear, because I now have to tell the rest of the girls,” the mom of two explained.

Just a few hours later, Pippen told their four other co-stars about Abraira’s health news.

“I went to meet with Guerdy, and I wanted to understand what I ever did to her for her to go public and say I was being fake, and before I know it she’s like, ‘I have breast cancer,’” the former NBA wife told her castmates.

Howevr, six hours later, Pippen hosted a party where she revealed Abraira’s cancer diagnosis to her personal friends, as well as Hochstein, Patton, Nepola and Barth.

“I went to meet with Guerdy, and I wanted to understand what I ever did to her for her to go public and say I was being fake, and before I know it she’s like, ‘I have breast cancer,’” she told Hochstein, Patton and Barth.

All three women immediately gasped and shouted, “What?!” Patton began to tear up while Hochstein asked Pippen what stage it was.

Abraira has yet to specifically comment on Pippen’s actions.

“It’s not crazy, she’s OK,” Pippen said. “It’s stage 1 — it’s like early — but she said that and I was literally, I don’t know what to say.”

Nepola and her husband then arrived at the party where Patton and Pippen took her aside for Pippen to share the bombshell for the third time that evening.

“So I went to meet with Guerdy, and she goes, ‘I have breast cancer,’ and I literally, Alexia, almost fell over. I didn’t know what to say to her,” Pippen shared.

Pippen then told a stunned Nepola and Patton to “not say anything to her” and to “let her tell you guys.”

While Pippen has doubled down on her actions, Abraira subtly showed she was not a fan of her co-star’s actions when she reposted an Instagram Story from a fan going off on Pippen for how she “handled Guerdy telling her about her situation.”

The mom of two revealed she was cancer-free earlier this month at BravoCon 2023.

“The fact that she broke the news to the other people in the group like what’s wrong with you? That’s not your news to tell,” the fan said.

Abraira has been battling the disease since announcing her treatment in May but revealed that she was cancer-free at BravoCon 2023.

The “Real Housewives of Miami” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
