Keke Palmer and her embattled ex, Darius Jackson, have agreed to mediate their custody issues privately following explosive claims that he physically and emotionally abused her.
According to court documents filed in Los Angeles Thursday and obtained by Page Six, the exes began discussions on Wednesday, Nov. 29, and have agreed to continue those conversations at a “mutually agreeable date” that has not yet been determined.
When Palmer, 30, first filed for full custody of her and Jackson’s now-9-month-old son in November, she also sought a restraining order against her child’s father, which was granted to her shortly after.
A court date for the domestic violence restraining order was set for Dec. 5. However, Palmer and Jackson have agreed, per the latest court filings, that they would like that hearing to be postponed until they resolve their issues in mediation.
Per the court docs we obtained, the parties “agree that all orders contained in the Temporary Restraining Order issued on November 9, 2023, shall remain in full force and effect until the hearing.” The court has yet to set a new date.
Page Six has reached out to Palmer’s reps and attorney, and Jackson’s lawyer for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
The latest update in the case comes just days after the “Nope” star spoke about the “misogyny” she has faced in relationships.
“So misogyny came at me hard and quick, with the quickness,” she said in a conversation with her mom, Sharon Palmer, on her podcast, “Baby, This is Keke Palmer,” earlier this week.
“When I entered outside of my household and I saw that everybody doesn’t really respect their wives or even women in the way that my dad respects my mom, it [was] a pretty rude awakening.”
Keke has accused Jackson, 29, in previously filed court documents of “destroying [her] personal property,” “throwing [her] belongings into the street,” “throwing [her] car keys to prevent [her] from driving away,” “hitting [her] in front of [their] son” and “spewing profanities about [her] to [their] son.”
She also claimed the fitness instructor emotionally manipulated her by allegedly “threatening to kill himself with a gun if [she] left him.”
Keke also alleged she had security footage that showed Jackson “lunging for [her] neck, striking [her], throwing [her] over the couch and stealing [her] phone” when she once tried to call the police.

The “Hustlers” actress and father of one kept details of their romance private until she went to an Usher concert in July and he blasted her for her outfit via Twitter, writing, “you a mom.”
Keke took the drama in stride by selling “I’m a Motha” merch, boasting about freedom and later appearing with Usher, 45, in his “Boyfriend” music video.
Per court documents, they officially broke up “for good” in October primarily “due to the physical and emotional abuse” Jackson allegedly inflicted on the actress.
