It was an offer she couldn’t refuse.
Ivanka Trump didn’t join her dad, Donald Trump, at Mar-a-Lago this year for Thanksgiving — but instead hosted the holiday at her and Jared Kushner’s newly renovated $24 million Miami mansion.
We hear that the former first daughter will likely spend Christmas at Mar-a-Lago with her father and Melania Trump.
Apparently, Ivanka and her family spent the holiday watching Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 organized-crime classic, “The Godfather,” instead.
Lex Fridman — a Russian-American podcaster and computer scientist at MIT — posted online, “I’m grateful to have spent Thanksgiving with [Ivanka, Jared] and family.”
“Especially epic was us watching Godfather. Greatest film of all time. Leave the gun take the cannoli,” Fridman continued, quoting one of the film’s most famous lines.
Ivanka tweeted back to Fridman, “Spending Thanksgiving with you was as epic as that scene from The Godfather!” She also invited him to visit again.
While Ivanka otherwise kept the Thanksgiving meal private, she later posted pics of her with her three kids taking a dip in the hot tub at the family’s Miami mansion.
Later, she showed herself braving a FlowRider wave simulator — including a shot of her dramatically wiping out attempting to surf.
A rep did not comment.
Donald has been riding a wave of legal woes, and Ivanka testified as a witness in his New York fraud trial this month.
A Mar-a-Lago insider told us, “The president remains upbeat publicly and privately about winning the election,” and added that he is considering two South Carolina pols, former Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. Tim Scott, as running mates should he capture the GOP nomination.
But a Trump spokesperson told us: “President Trump has not made any decisions on his running mate and he will make an announcement when he is ready. Any speculation is just that, speculation from people who have no idea what they’re talking about.”
