HAL STUDIOS® and adidas have teamed up to launch their first collaborative shoe, the VELOSAMBA “HSDT-MK-01.” The design approach marks a unique fusion of classic terrace footwear, exemplified by the iconic Samba, with utility features for cycling, offering a versatile option for modern commuters.
The VELOSAMBA emerges as a multi-purpose commuter cycling shoe, reimagined through the “Design Thinking” approach of HAL STUDIOS®. A notable enhancement to the classic silhouette is the refined eye-stay panel, a thoughtful modification that both strengthens the structure and elevates its look.
Further functional advancements include a newly introduced speed-lacing system and most notably, at the shoe’s outsole, a two-bolt cleat mount. The shoe also features a reinforced midsole designed to flex for walking comfort, as well as a molded sockliner that provides extra cushioning.
The VELOSAMBA emphasizes texture, featuring soft black leather at its core, complemented by premium suede at the toebox and heel counter. An attention to detail is further highlighted with with a padded nylon tongue, reflective laces, zig-zag stitching and minimal branding elements.
Only 300 pairs of the HAL STUDIOS® x adidas VELOSAMBA “HSDT-MK-01” are set to be produced and while retail pricing has yet to be shared at the time of writing, the release is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, November 23, via HAL STUDIOS® official online store.
