Dean McDermott celebrated Thanksgiving away from his estranged wife, Tori Spelling, and their five kids as he continues his sobriety journey.
The Canadian actor, 57, posted a video via Instagram Thursday, in which he appeared happy and healthy and said he has “so much to be grateful for this year.”
“I’m going to be spending [the holiday] with my housemates at Freedom House at sober living,” he shared. “We’re going to have a lot of fun.”
McDermott then thanked his sponsor and said he is also grateful for “all the groups” and “different treatment centers.”
“I’m just truly blessed and I hope everybody has a wonderful, wonderful day,” the “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” alum, who filmed the video from inside his car wearing a red and black flannel shirt over a black tee, concluded.
“Bless you all. Happy Thanksgiving.”
McDermott recently revealed how his addition issues contributed to the end of his 17-year marriage with Spelling, 50.
“All Tori’s ever done to this day is want me to be happy and healthy and I inflicted a lot of damage and pain on that woman,” he told the Daily Mail on Nov. 15.
“Alcohol made me feel good enough. I started feeling good enough until it got to a point where it didn’t – it ended up in isolation.”
McDermott admitted to drinking a fifth of tequila every night of the week and taking a “handful of narcos [prescription meds],” leaving Spelling and their kids “petrified” in their rooms.
The former “Chopped Canada” host said a “drunk and angry” fight with the “90210” alum was the final straw in their relationship.
“It was the night that I raged against her and the children and I saw the light, the final flicker of the flame go out in her eyes,” he recalled to the Daily Mail.
McDermott said after the argument, which took place in mid-June, he took to Instagram to announce their split because he was “at the end of [his] rope.”
“I didn’t know what to do. I had burned everything down yet again,” he added.
McDermott also attempted suicide at the time, revealing, “I was literally at my wit’s end. That night, I was drinking and I was into my pills. I would’ve ruined so many lives if I had died.”

Spelling was allegedly blindsided by McDermott publicly announcing their separation.
As a result of his actions, the “Slasher” alum has not seen the “Saved By the Bell” actress or their children, Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 6, in five months.
However, McDermott and Spelling have since both moved on with new romances.
The “Due South” alum has been dating Lily Calo for a few months and the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum recently went on a PDA-packed date with advertising CEO Ryan Cramer.
It does not appear that Spelling spent Thanksgiving with her new beau, though. She shared via her Instagram Stories that she was with her kids and best gal pal Laura Rugetti on the holiday.
Spelling posted photos of beautiful table decor and kids in costume, writing, “Proof of ThanksGiving! We didn’t take any photos lol.”
Her rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
