Converse Celebrates ‘Wonka’ With Expansive Collab

Timothée Chalamet is set to take on the role of Willy Wonka in the aptly-named film Wonka, arriving in theaters this month. As anticipation for the movie continues to build, Chalamet just revealed that he designed a collaborative Nike Dunk Low “Wonka” in celebration of the film, with 5 pairs being given away to lucky fans. Now, for the many who won’t win the giveaway, Converse has announced its own Wonka-themed collaboration.

Utilizing the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star and the All Star BB Trilliant CX, a total of five shoes have been assembled. The Chuck 70 takes on “Chocolate Swirl” and “Oompa Loompa” colorways while the Chuck Taylor All Star favors “Swirl” and corduroy-covered finishes. Lastly, the All Star BB Trilliant CX reimagines the golden ticket on the court-ready sneaker. On top of it all, complementary apparel has been produced, featuring thematic graphics throughout.

Release for the collaborative Wonka x Converse collab takes place via Converse on December 7, a week before Wonka hits theaters. Prices start at $75 USD for the Chuck Taylor All Star “Swirl” and go up to $120 USD and $130 USD for the Chuck 70s and All Star BB Trilliant CX respectively. As for the apparel, it ranges from $35 USD for the t-shirt to $80 USD for the crewneck.
