Since its establishment in 1919, Champion has been a longtime driver of casual, yet functional sportswear. As the brand continues to look to the future, it has revealed its new Eco Future.
For the new collection, the brand tosses has reimagined its signature reverse weave fabric with CiCLO technology – a solution that makes synthetic textiles function closer to natural fibers when in the environment. With the new environmentally-conscious collection, Champion is working to reduce microplastic pollution.
By utilizing the CiCLO technology, Champion’s Eco Future Reverse Weave includes less plastic textiles – reducing the amount of non-biodegradable substances in the environment. To debut the new fabric, Champions tosses up crewneck and joggers. For an additional eco-friendly touch, the fabric utilizes dyes from naturally derived sources like annatto fruit, pomegranates and terminalia chebula fruits.
“As we continue to innovate and evolve, Champion is dedicated to creating solutions through products that will ensure a better tomorrow for our planet and the people living on it,” said Vanessa LeFebvre, President of Global Activewear at Champion. “Through our partnership with CICLO®, we aim to be a catalyst for positive change in the fashion industry, driving conscious choices, responsible actions and continuous improvements, while providing every Champion a canvas to live their true purpose.”
Champion’s new Eco Future Collection drops in-store and online on December 6.
