Bleachers doubled down on the good news today, revealing both a new single as well as an album update. The Jack Antonoff-led band enlisted the likes of previous collaborator Lana Del Rey for their dreamy autumnal cut, “Alma Mater,” which will appear on the band’s forthcoming self-titled album, Bleachers, expected to drop in early 2024.
“Alma Mater” comes as a juxtaposing follow-up to earlier this summer’s upbeat cut, “Modern Girl.” “Well, summer’s gettin’ hotter / Threw her T-shirt down the pike (Yeah) / Screamin’, ‘F*ck Balenciaga’ / Right past the Wawa / Threw on ‘Heartattack and Vine,” Antonoff croons on the chorus, accompanied by Del Rey on backing vocals.
Bleachers, the group’s fourth studio album, is slated to drop next year, on March 8. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates as they transpire, and fnd the full tracklist listed below.
