Shygirl – “thicc”
Despite being forced to cancel her co-headlining tour with Tinashe last month, Shygirl is tiding fans over with her new single, “thicc.” Produced by Karma Kid and Sega Bodega, the track was created while working on her debut LP Nymph. “I’ve enjoyed teasing this one at festivals and shows while still in demo mode for over a year already with the idea of somehow infusing the energy of the crowd into this final version of the song — ‘thicc’ is fun and carefree and definitely a tease—all the classic traits of club shy infused into one track,” she says.

Daniel Noah Miller – “Opening Me”
Nicaraguan-American artist Daniel Noah Miller unveils the February 16, 2024 release of his debut album Disintegration, making the announcement alongside his newest single “Opening Me.” He describes the track as one that “documents the final heartbroken, spiraling days of a romantic relationship. It was something I wrote as I was experiencing this pain in real time, which is rare for me. I often find it can take me several months or even years to work through my experiences in a way that feels worth sharing. I have long been reluctant to document sentiments like anger or jealousy that are fleeting, and that I might later regret or not align with. But, this song poured out of me while I was sleeping on an air mattress at the studio where we were recording. I might have missed it for being so numb with sadness, but my producer Jack Hallenbeck overheard me strumming through the idea and pushed me to finish it. It’s one of my favorite songs that came out of this process.”
