Nanga and 18 East have teamed up for an exclusive capsule collaboration, featuring the Lookout Jacket and Feather Moc. Conceptualized and crafted with the needs of outdoor enthusiasts in mind, the two pieces form a kit for rangers that keep watch of fire lookouts in the likes of the Pacific Northwest’s Cascade Mountains.
Arriving in a dark moss green colorway, both the jacket and the mocs are cut from Takibi, a Japanese material crafted from aramid fibers and touted for its flame resistance. These garments are then filled with 155 grams of water-repellent Spanish duck down to keep the wearer insulated under the brisky climates of the great outdoors.
The Lookout Jacket features a cozy and slouchy silhouette fitted with raglan sleeves, oversized pockets at the hip, a functional and asymmetrical chest pocket, and a heat-sealed two-way zip front. The cuffs are incorporated with elastics to ensure a comfortable fit without compromising on the ease of movement. A complementing design is also applied to the Feather Moc, which features a quick lace fastening and cushioned appearance.
Prices for the items have yet to be announced, but it is confirmed both will be released on December 1 at 18 East’s New York Studio. The garments will later be available via the brand’s online store starting December 7.
