Following the debut of his Fall/Winter 2023 collection at London Fashion Week (with a helping hand from Sir Ian McKellen), British designer S.S. Daley has officially revealed his forthcoming retro collaboration with Dan Levy’s DL Eyewear first presented on the runway.
Drawing from 20th-century English eyewear figures, the offering comprises of three frame styles relevant across the British class system: Cloudsley, Charlton, and Lonsdale. The latter sports a bulky rectangular build in spotted brown tones inspired by an ’80s image of Princess Diana, while David Hockney’s circular opticals stimulate the Cloudsley frame. Finally, the sophisticated Charlton lens lands with an oversized square frame and a semi-translucent brown finish. Every pair will be delivered with an exclusive collaborative pouch and cleaning cloth adorned with floral paintings.
