Dinner Party, the supergroup comprised of of Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington and 9th Wonder, is back with their newest single “Insane.”
Featuring a guest appearance from Ant Clemons, the track is produced by Sounwave and clocks in at just under three minutes. A looped drum sample from Mtume’s song “Juicy Fruit” can be heard throughout the track, while Clemons and Dinner Party show off their untouchable ability to fuse jazz with R&B melodies and hip-hop production.
In 2020, the group dropped their self-titled debut EP which featured Phoelix on vocals. They then followed it up with the reimagined Dinner Party: Dessert, which included additional guest appearances from Cordae, Herbie Hancock, Buddy, Bilal, Tank and the Bangas, Punch and Rapsody, alongside newcomers Reuben Vincent, Malaya and Alex Isley.
