She’s ready to “Waka Waka” the red carpet.
Shakira arrived on the VMAs 2023 step-and-repeat Tuesday night wearing a slinky gold Versace gown.
The backless chainmail dress — which featured massive side cutouts and a thigh-high slit — clung to the Grammy winner’s curves, showing off her enviable figure.
Shakira wore her long tresses hair down in beachy waves and completed the look with drop earrings and a few gold rings.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker was joined on the red carpet by her two sons, who wore matching matching black and gold Versace tracksuits.
The 46-year-old will be honored with this year’s Video Vanguard Award and take the stage for her first VMAs performance in 17 years.

Previous recipients of the prestigious award include Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Janet Jackson and Missy Elliott.
“Shakira is a true global force who continues to inspire & influence the masses with her unique, musical prowess. She’s a trailblazer for women around the world & one of the first artists to lead the globalization of Latin music,” said Bruce Gillmer, chief content officer of music at Paramount+ and president of music, music talent, programming and events at Paramount.
“Her massive impact across the musical landscape will be long lasting as she continues to create and entertain at the highest level.”
