Nike is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Air Max Plus with a bevy of new colorways arriving on shelves throughout the year. The Sean McDowell-designed sneaker has gained a cult-like following over the years, with many streetwear enthusiasts leaning towards the silhouette for its technical-aesthetic and ease of wear.
Known for its ruggedness and versatility, the Nike Air Max Plus now surfaces with toggle laces, making it much easier to wear without the tedious traditional laces, as well as surfacing in a “Black/Metallic Silver” color scheme. The shoe arrives in a gradient hue with an enhanced leather mudguard. Where the TPU cage is commonly found, the design is replaced with another set of interlocking laces for a more snug fit. Covering the upper entirely in jet-black, the mesh base also features a 3M reflective mesh base while hints of orange is seen in the visible air unit. The Nike TN logo takes its place on the heel.
Look out for the upcoming Nike Air Max Plus colorway arriving later this year in select retailers and online at Nike.
