Matthew Lawrence ‘trying’ to have kids with Chilli after Cheryl Burke divorce

Matthew Lawrence revealed he and Chilli have a “game plan” to start a family together.

“I hope. … That’s what we’re trying to do,” the actor told “Entertainment Tonight” in an interview published Friday when asked whether he and his girlfriend are going to have kids.

Lawrence, 43, also gushed over his romance with Chilli, 52, calling the TLC member “really, really special.”

“My life is in complete bloom right now. I get to spend time with an amazing woman like Chilli,” he said. “I’ve never gotten to be able to experience that kind of relationship before.”

The “Waterfalls” singer confirmed she was dating the “Boy Meets World” alum in January after they were first spotted together last summer.

Lawrence shared with “ET” that he and Chilli, whose real name is Rozonda Thomas, had been friends for years prior to sparking a romantic connection.

“Really it was [this] flight [we were on together] talking, and then afterwards saying, ‘Hey, you know what? Let’s keep in contact,’” he recalled.

The encounter seemed to be fate, as the “Mrs. Doubtfire” star shared that a snowstorm almost came in the way of their run-in.

“It almost did not happen,” he said of the flight. “Literally an hour before the flight took off, they said, ‘OK, we got you on this flight. You gotta go.’”

It remains unclear exactly when Lawrence and Chilli became a couple. Her rep said the pair were just friends in August 2022, but their relationship was in full swing by the holidays, with them spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with the Grammy winner’s family.

They then went Instagram-official on New Year’s Eve when Chilli posted a video of herself dancing with her beau.
