Louis Vuitton Blows Up the LV Trainer to Playful Proportions

Louis Vuitton‘s LV Trainer is quickly defining its take on modern-age sneaker culture. The basketball-inspired silhouette was crafted by Virgil Abloh during his time as the head of Vuitton’s menswear division and has since become a staple offering. The brand recently introduced the low-top shoe covered in vintage comics, now debuting a Maxi iteration with playful jumbo-sized proportions.

Dubbed the LV Trainer Maxi Sneaker, the new rendition maintains the model’s traditional details, including its simple two-toned design, rubber tongues, and forefeet branding. Fashioned in a white and green colorway, the uppers arrive in smooth calf leather with overlined accents, escorted by linear markings on the rear tabs. “VUITTON” lettering hits the medials, while sizeable rope laces sport loveable floral charms atop swollen tongues in yellow, orange, green, and purple hues.

Chunky white midsoles complete the design stacked on ridged green rubber bottoms adorned with Louis Vuitton’s monogram flower symbols.

Take a closer look at the LV Trainer Maxi Sneaker in the gallery above. The model is available to shop now via Louis Vuitton for $1,770 USD.

Elsewhere, the Nike Air Force 1 High celebrates the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
