American denim specialists Levi’s began 170 years ago with its timeless 501 jeans first landing on shelves 150 years ago. In celebration of this anniversary, the brand has been paying homage to the 501 throughout 2023 with collabs and events going down throughout the year. Now, it’s linked with Crocs to present the Classic and All-Terrain Clogs in three special takes that nod to the original design.
First up, the capsule kicks things off with a tie-dye print on the Classic Clog that utilizes the Japanese technique of Shibori dyeing. The resulting look pairs blue with white as eight custom Jibbitz charms nod to ’60s counterculture with Levi’s references coming courtesy of the footbed’s Two Horse-Pull stamp and the button shank hinge hardware.
The latter two looks — outfitted in “Navy” and “Bone” — are featured on the All-Terrain Clog. Denim-wrapped paneling gives both a distinct Levi’s feel with Sashiko stitching creating unique linework across the two. As found on the 501 denim, a Levi’s Red Tab is included on the right shoe. Additional touches include the Two Horse-Pull stamp at the footbed again and three metal Jibbitz charms.
The complete Levi’s x Crocs collection will be made available starting September 19 via Levi’s. From there, Crocs and select retailers will host its launch on September 21.
