He’s watching over his mom always.
Kate Beckinsale showed fans her latest tattoo on Instagram Thursday, with the touching design marking the second piece of ink created in honor of her cat Clive, who died in June.
“How can a light that burned so brightly Suddenly burn so pale 💜love you always” the 50-year-old “Serendipity” star captioned the post, which showed herself wearing a strapless white dress that put her new ink on display.
The design, which sits just below her right shoulder, features a depiction of Clive’s eyes surrounded by tufts of fur and was created by celeb tattoo artist Dr. Woo, who also inked Clive’s face on Beckinsale’s arm in August.

The “Aviator” star — who celebrated her 50th birthday in a bedazzled look this July — wore her hair pulled up in a bouncy ponytail to better show the new tat, wearing five gold hoop earrings in her ear and showing off a dramatic smokey eye.
“This has really helped . Thank you so much, @_dr_woo_ 🖤,” she captioned the photo of her first Clive tattoo last month, showing off the inside of her arm to reveal a design of Clive’s face surrounded by stars and circles.
Fans were loving the “Van Helsing” actress’ latest ink, like one who commented, “You now carry the torch of the light he shone,” and another adding, “Forever now the angel on your shoulder.”

“I am not a tattoo fan, but the simplicity and the meaning of that one is quite overwhelming,” a third Instagram user commented.
Others shared their own stories of pet loss in the comments section, encouraging the “Underworld” star to “remember the good times” and “find peace and healing” after the beloved cat died of unknown causes earlier this summer.
Beckinsale isn’t the only celeb to have a pet tribute created by Dr. Woo; Travis Barker had a design of his late bulldog, Blue, inked on his leg last year by the tattoo pro.

The mom of one’s feline-themed tattoos also join two special designs on Beckinsale’s body.
The British actress showed off two tattoos in honor of her mom and daughter in August 2022, with the word “mama” inked in her 76-year-old mom, Judy Loe’s, handwriting as well as her 24-year-old daughter, Lily Sheen’s, script.
As for her new ink, we have a feeling her sassy feline would approve.
