Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner call divorce ‘a united decision’ in first statement since breakup

It’s officially Joe-ver.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner released a joint statement Wednesday to publicly address their divorce for the first time.

“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” the estranged couple wrote in a post to Instagram.

“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

The statement came one day after Jonas, 34, filed for divorce from Turner, 27, in Miami, stating in court documents obtained by Page Six that their union was “irretrievably broken.”

The Jonas Brothers member also claimed in the filing that his and the “Game of Thrones” star’s two daughters have been living primarily with him, but he is seeking “shared parental responsibility” after their split.

A source close to the Jonas family told Page Six exclusively Tuesday that “divorce was a last resort for Joe,” who “never wanted to break up his family, but … had to take what he felt was the best course of action for his girls.”

“Joe finally reached a point where he felt that he had exhausted all options to salvage the marriage,” the insider added.

Despite their separation, the “Burnin’ Up” singer sang a love song for his estranged wife, “Hesitate,” at the JoBros’ concert Sunday night.

The 2019 track was notably inspired by their romance, which began in 2016.

“It’s like my vows before I wrote my vows. It’s my promise to Sophie,” Jonas said of the tune in his family band’s 2020 “Happiness Continues” concert film.
