Gap has announced a collaboration with Greater China brand partner Caelan to create new Fall apparel and outerwear for urban millennials who want to dress without bounds, expressing themselves to the fullest. Combining the vintage Americana aesthetic with urban functionality and practicality, the new Fall collection offers fresh styling ideas for the trendsetter generation.
Two of the collection’s highlights, the vintage California sweatshirt and Big ‘G’ varsity jacket, show Gap’s trendy collegiate style and create a vibrant visual language with recognizable prints that can be mixed and matched. This versatility allows wearers to dictate their own personal flair. For the first time, Gap is focused on the urban functionality aspect of street style, as displayed through this dynamic range. This time around, Gap is introducing a city-inspired jacket with vintage color blocking, as well as a functional vest with utilitarian, workwear pockets — presenting a more modern interpretation of “urbancore” imbued with the spirit of free exploration.
In coming collections, Gap will collaborate with Caelan to spearhead the next wave of trends and to continue to oversee the emergence of new fads within the coming generations.
