Hugh Jackman was spotted looking sullen and ringless after announcing his separation from Deborra-Lee Furness.
In video exclusively obtained by Page Six, the “X-Men” star told paparazzi he is going through a “difficult time” before continuing his daytime stroll in New York City Saturday.
Jackman, whose left ring finger was notably bare during his outing, wore a dark-colored T-shirt and black jeans.
The 54-year-old kept his daytime wear casual, tying the look together with black sneakers and Aviator sunglasses.
Furness, 67, and Jackman announced Friday that they were separating after 27 years of marriage.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the two shared in a joint statement made to People.

“Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
The former couple, who share Oscar Maximilian Jackman, 23, and Ava Eliot Jackman, 18, added that their family “has been and always will be [their] highest priority.”
“We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”

While that was the first time the actors spoke about their separation, a Broadway insider told Page Six Friday that others have known about the split for quite some time.
“It happened a while ago. Friends and family knew about it,” our source previously said, adding that their separation was “a long time coming.”
Rumors began swirling that there was trouble in their decades-long marriage after Furness was noticeably absent from Jackman’s rehearsals for the Broadway show “The Music Man.”

“Deb wasn’t at rehearsals very much,” a source shared, telling us that the mother of two “was even spotted snoozing during some of them.”
Furness and Jackman met while filming on the set of the Australian TV series “Correlli” in 1995.

A year later, the couple tied the knot and went on to adopt their two children following a struggle to conceive both naturally and through IVF.
In April, Jackman posted a heartfelt tribute to his estranged wife celebrating their 27th marriage anniversary.

“I love you Deb. Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 YEARS!!,” Jackman wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of the two embracing each other with a city skyline in the background.
“I love you so much. Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage and loyalty is an incredible gift to me.”
Nearly a month later, the two appeared at what would be their last red carpet together for the 2023 Met Gala. A source told Page Six exclusively Saturday that Jackman was left “devastated” over the split.
