“She has had a very difficult time since the conviction,” a source told People on Wednesday.
“She loves Danny and has no plans to file for divorce. She will be by his side for it all.”
Although the 43-year-old actress is struggling to cope with the situation, the insider noted that she is “surrounded by family and friends” and remains “hopeful” about a future appeal.
Not only is the former socialite worried about life without the “That ’70s Show” star, but she also allegedly fears for his safety.
Last week, a source told the Daily Mail that Phillips is “very worried” someone will harm her husband in prison, saying that she has been plagued by “scary and morbid” thoughts ever since his conviction.
“It is a nightmare, but she will be on his side moving forward and continue to be present for their daughter,” the insider said, adding that her “stress” is on a level “that she never has felt before.”
However, the mother of one “doesn’t believe Danny will harm himself in jail” — or that he is even guilty in the first place.
In May, Masterson was found guilty of raping two women in 2003.

Despite being in the courtroom and hearing the evidence, insiders say Phillips “can’t accept” that her longtime spouse committed the crimes for which he was convicted.
“Danny is adamant he did nothing wrong and Bijou believes him,” the source told the Daily Mail.
Phillips has stood by Masterson’s side throughout the years-long legal battle, which began in June 2020 when the “Ranch” star was charged on three different counts of forcible rape.
Masterson, who pled not guilty, was initially tried for the allegations in November 2022 but it was declared a mistrial.
During the second hearing, the actor was found guilty on two of the three charges of rape and sentenced to 30 years behind bars.
“Mr. Masterson, you are not the victim here,” Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo said at the sentencing last week. “Your actions 20 years ago took away another person’s voice and choice. Your actions 20 years ago were criminal, and that is why you are here.”
Masterson was first accused of rape in 2017. At the time, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they were conducting an investigation into the actor after three women claimed they were sexually assaulted by him.
Phillips and Masterson, who are both Scientologists, tied the knot in 2011.
