Canadian outdoor brand ARC’TERYX and luxury boutique hotel group Songtsam jointly held a media sharing session at ARC’TERYX Broadway to unveil the highly anticipated co-branded collection. Born out of a five-year strategic partnership between ARC’TERYX and Songtsam, the collection inherits the shared alpine DNA of the two brands and their vision of delivering the ultimate outdoor exploration experience to consumers.
Inspired by the first and highest peak in the Meili Snow Mountain Range, Kawagarbo, the collection’s launch highlights the practical initiatives of the two premium brands to advocate for the harmonious co-existence between humans and nature. The session featured Guy Fattal, a well-known outdoor photographer and Florence, the Director of International Sales & Marketing of Songtsam. Last year, ARC’TERYX opened two flagship stores, in partnership with Songtsam, located in Yunnan, China: ARC’TERYX x Shangri-La Academy in Songtsam Linka Retreat Shangri-La and a joint flagship store located in Kunming, China.
Suitable for the extraordinary and ordinary, the new collection is made for adventure seekers, home to any environment. Delivering on this promise are a range of brightly-colored essentials demonstrating ARC’TERYX’s technical panache, including the Beta AR Jacket, Gamma Hoody and Aerios 15L Backpack. The Beta AR Jacket and Gamma Hoody are well-loved outdoor staples that deliver on ARC’TERYX’s technical panache, featuring GORE-TEX PRO, a highly versatile shell with hybrid construction that offers maximum durability and the wind- and water-resistant Fortius™ 2.0 fabric, which provides warmth-to-weight thermoregulation. A co-branded logo depicting the thirteen peaks of the Meili Snow Mountain decorates select pieces.
The “Kawagarbo” series inherits a shared alpine DNA between ARC’TERYX and Songtsam, as both brands look to encourage limitless exploration through environmental advocacy. ARC’TERYX’s “Jackson Hole Exposed” Outdoor Photography Contest further amplifies this sentiment by celebrating local mountain culture and the transient beauty in nature. With this launch, ARC’TERYX commemorates its dedication to the outdoors through the REBIRD™ sustainability program, promising a donation to help support its clean-up initiative.
