Dutch eyewear purveyors Ace & Tate celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and in true triumphant form, it has released a total of 64 new sunglasses for the Spring/Summer 2023 season.
Set within 12 new models and eight new exclusive colorways, the collection comprises shades that incorporate elements of the past and the current day. With this in mind, silhouettes have vintage shapes and colorways that hark back to eras between the 1960s and 1990s, while also working in tweaks that contemporize the designs — the “Anderson” is the perfect embodiment of this, which comes with a hexagonal design that’s been squeezed for a softer, less angled attitude.
Elsewhere, the “Omari” is Ace & Tate’s take on a wraparound look, while a wider temple allows the pair to span both ’70s and ’90s references. “Patsy” is set to uncover your inner grunge rocker, “Twiggy” is quintessential of the swinging ’60s, and “Curtis” is perfect for a Miami Vice moment.
Speaking on the designs, Ruud de Bruin, Creative Director at Ace & Tate, said: “We designed each piece with our philosophy as a guideline for our creative approach: how to offer cutting-edge eyewear that transcends time and is still relevant in five, 10 or 20 years.”
Ace & Tate’s latest sunnies can be seen in the lookbook above and bought online — alongside a far wider range — now.
